I've made them for two babies so far. They've turned out great.

1 cup of flour
1 cup of salt
half a cup of water (I've added a little food colouring to the water when I want a different colour than cream)

Mix and Knead it all together. Roll out to about a pencil's width and press down, quite deeply, hand or foot or both. (That's the difficult bit as the last baby gripped it then.)
If you want to hang it on a wall, push a straw or pen through the dough to leave two holes for the ribbon to go through.
When ready to cook, put on a baking sheet in the oven at 100 degrees C/ 200 F for 2-3 hours.

Thanks for the post! Just stumbled across this and think it's a great idea!

It does take a while alright and even after the stint in the oven, the underside can still need a bit of air drying to get it dry. Or maybe turning it over midway might help.

I made the mistake with the first one of rolling it about 1cm thick and it cracked in half a month later. Better to have it about 0.5 cm thickness.

I hope it works for you
