i need to make a donkey costume!!

In 5 days with no access to a sewing machine. Can this be done or should i very very reluctantly buy a ready made one? Any tips greatly appreciated!
From a stressed mum of a 5 year old 'donkey'!

Grab yourself a grey or brown hoody and similar coloured trousers/joggers. Using some black knitting wool and a darning needle, make a mane by stitching through the hood, knotting the ends together at the base, cut and repeat until you have a shaggy head of 'hair'. Cut out some large ears from craft felt or fabric, glue some pink inside bits to them then stitch them to the hood, either side of the mane so there's a little bit of hair in front too. Make a tail with the same felt/fabric and do a black wool hairy bit on the end of it - a bit like a loose pom pom. Sew this to the bum. Bung on some face paint and add black gloves and black boot or socs over shoes. Should pass as a short notice donkey Good luck!
