we're doing this today with salt dough, fingers crossed it works out!

We did this a couple of years ago and it's still going strong. We painted it in metallic acrylic paint.

MrsGubbins how did it turn out?

I made some with cornflour, bicarb and water and was a lovely dough but not a great impression and went kind of brown in the oven

we made it with 1 cup flour, 1/2 salt, 1/2 water and it's turned out ok, had it in a fan oven at 100'c for 3 hours on the bottom shelf and then turned oven off and left it (till I remembered to take it out before cooking dinner!)

the imprint was fine, will see how it looks after paint/varnish
