How to make an Easter bonnet?

Has anyone ever made a successful easter bonnet? If so could you possibly give me step-by-step instructions on how to make one for ds1's nursery competition? (Would be eternally grateful).

Yes, ds will do most of the sticking things on etc, I just need ideas about where to begin. I'm not bothered about winning and I'm sure he'll be even less interested.
