Mixing normal paint with fabric paint?

Okay, I'm fairly sure the answer to this is no, but I have red fabric paint and I want pink but don't have white fabric paint to dilute it with. Any chance that I can mix normal white paint with it and the fabric paint will do its magic on the normal paint?

I went for red in the end anyway as I knew I was wishing for the moon on a stick :o
