I just need to check the width of the sizzix scallop tag die. I have some from the sizzix swap but I think these are the super scallop as they look quite square. They are also too wide to fit in the cards I have for invites to make. I need to order this die quite urgently!!

I have 2 scallop dies- the combo and a larger one- hold on I check for you.

Dingle · 22/03/2006 00:21

Right I have the super scallop which is 8cm wide by 12 cms tall. The largest tag on the scallop combo is 4.5 X 8.5cms.

There is also the large combo isn't there, the one that has a scallop tag and a crescent tag (I think) not sure of sizes for that! HTHs

You crafters are all nuts, posting your questions about sizzixes at midnight! Nuts!

(Ok I was up till 11:30 embroidering a card and didn't get to bed till 1.30am because of that! But shh don't tell anyone)

kiwibella · 22/03/2006 16:03

oh-oh... thanks for all this info guys. I have a major problem!! The stamp I am using for these invites arrived today and it is wider than the biggest tag. How stupid was I to presume that it would fit. I have decided there are two choices: stamp the kitty and have his tail going over the edge of the tag or... stamp the image and reduce it slightly on the photocopier. How kosher do you think the last suggestion is??? I am mighty pleased that I didn't place the order I started at around midnight for the tall, gorgeous scallop tag :)

How big is the design then Kiwi?

Dingle · 22/03/2006 16:26

No that idea probably wouldn't work either. Was going to say I have the large oval (380814) that might work by punching a hole in the top but that's only 9cms across anyway.

It's \link{http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Rubber-Stamps-PENNY-BLACK-Aloha-Kitty-Cat_W0QQitemZ8266265266QQcategoryZ3124QQssPageNameZWD2VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem\this}

The stamped image is 10cm wide. I think that I am going to try the photocopier. If I cover an A4 page there should be 4 unique-ish prints. Hopefully it won't be noticeable once the images are coloured in. I am disappointed that these invites won't be as I imagined but it is my party for my friends so its not a paying order, as such!

you could stamp onto card and then stick onto tag?

kiwibella · 22/03/2006 21:08

Champs, I can't! :( The stamp is 10cm and the tag is 8cm wide. Basically, I have mucked up (or didn't do my research thoroughly). But I will see what the photocopier is like when I get back to work.
