DDs pine wardrobe has collapsed :( so I'm gooing to replace it with a wooden fabric covered one from Argos. It's plainn cream poly cotton. Could i dye it pink or purple? Would the dye take? Is dylon any good? Sorry for aall the questions. I'm an eager novice :)

i use dylon a lot, have just re dyed a sofa cover and all the dining chairs. dylon only really works on 100% cotton, poly cotton has a polyester content, so while the cotton will take the dye, the polyester won't, meaning it will dye, but the shade will most likely be paler than on the box. you will also need more than one box to dye that much fabric.

another cheap idea would be to simply make a new cover for the wardrobe using the ones it comes with as a template. bedsheets or duvet covers are a cheap way of getting enough fabric to do this rather than buying it by the meter.

Thanks niper. I might have to sweet talk my dm into dusting off her sewing machine. My sewing skills are on par with DD 5YO Grin
