buy your craft stuff from? And does anyone know where I can get the type of paper that has 'fluffy' edges - does anyone know what i mean!?

And what do you lot use to make letters? Something cheap but effective.

fluffy edged paper... do you mean mulberry paper and tissue? You can get that from most craft shops and also on ebay.
Letters I cut using my sizzix machine or I hand cut bigger ones for scrapbook pages.

Paper Mill shop for card & paper & bits and Lakeland when they have a sale on!
Find Hobbycraft fairly expensive now but have bought stuff in the past from there.

Tip for getting fluffy edges is draw a line with a wet paint brush where you want to tear

Lettering - Sizzix, have used Lettraset in the past or printed phrases onto card / paper

Thanks you lot. I knew someone would mention Sizzix! Far too advanced for me . Anything cheaper? Good tip about wet paint brush btw Whizz! I am no where near a Hobbycraft. Is there any other shop that does good craft stuff?

The Range always gets good comments on here - none near me though
Loads of websites that people use on here - I haven't tried too many myself - I'd spend too much !
Lettraset do some stuff called Safmat - like A4 film you print on, cut out & then stick like a transfer - good for phrases for cards or inside card wording

OO and you can buy SIzzix lettering & other pre cut shapes off e-bay too

I feel like I am getting a bit confused. Which is the best lettering system to buy. I dont want anything naff but nor do I want to spend lots of money. Help someone - feel a little out of my depth!

Apparently, if you use one of those perferator tools on mulberry paper then pull, it makes a really neat yet fluffy edge.

get my letters on e-bay (but can't find what I need at the mo, so anyone who wants to cut Nanny out of dark green and Memories from pink I'll pay ...)

Have you thought about letter stamps (see d's are good value) or what I do a lot of, is use a cardboss and alphabet template to dry emboss wording onto cards or panels.

As I've written them? Doesn't matter really- have found myself with a spare Sabook so doing something for my Mummy. . Other one is to do with me being a minion- sure you'll get the reference
