How do i make a kids costume for school??????

Hi All
I'm in a real fix. It's my 5 year old daughter's 'space week' next week and she has to go school dressed up in something to do with space?! The blurb said be as creative as you want. What does this mean?! I'm really stressed out. I'm not creative, I can't sew, and my daughter expects me to produce something great! PLEASE PLEASE if anyone has any ideas can you let me know? Thank you

hmm, places like HobbyCraft do foam sphere shapes, paint them up as all the planets then you could buy a hat and hang them off the hat as if they were the solar system.

They learn alot at 5 don't they now? I don't remember learning about space unitl we got to about 8 or 9!

Am entranced by the idea of a Space Hat! I'd want a wide brim with little planets hanging off it on strings - sort of a cross between an orrery and an Australian bush hat...

Or a packet of those glow-in-the-dark star/planet stickers meant for ceilings stuck all over an all black/navy outfit?

If you feel up to making a spaceship (out of cardboard boxes covered in foil) with braces she can 'wear' I'm sure that'd go down a storm, but may be too high effort.

or could you make saturns rings from a hula hoop filled in with paper and painted? Attache ribbon as straps to hold it up over the shoulders?

Was thinking of Saturn too Blu, and LOVE the idea of a space hat.
