Really basic mobile to attach to side of cot?

Baby DS (8 weeks) loves the black and white shapes I've stuck to the shelf above his changing may (on top of chest of drawers). He'd like to lie there all day and look at them. So I want to make something that I can attach to his cot sides to hang above him. He's not sleeping in the cot, but it'd be good to have a safe place to put him to entertain himself for a few minutes.

His big sister has painted him some new 'pictures' to use. We can stick them onto card or something.

I'm only thinking of something temporary but can't think how to attach it. Any ideas? Thanks.

you can get an infant-stim one that is black and white and then you change it to primary colours and white when older.

Mine also had a LaMaze cot bumper that was fantastic.

How about craft "ribbon" - like for balloons and pin into the ceiling?

We had a hook in the ceiling which we hung a mobile from. I made one using cards much like these ones

How about a hoop with thread to hang them from?

Something like this

That one you've linked to, CB, is lovely. I could actually make that...

Grin

You could use an embroidery hoop (or just the middle bit) and some thread.

OMG I thought you meant a phone!

Grin No, I'm sure DH will ensure he has an iPhone as soon as he can sit up.
