Plassard "oh la la" ribbon type yarn - help!!

DD bought this while on holiday. The woman in the shop showed her how to knit with it, but dd is having trouble remembering exactly how to do it. I think that once she gets started it'll be OK, but it's just getting started.

The yarn is like a ribbon, but actually stretches out into a kind of lattice. The woman knitted it using just the edge of the yarn, not the whole width of it (if that makes sense).

We can't work out how to start, but know that there was no actual casting on.

Any help gratefully received.

I suspect it's like this yarn? HTH

you pick up threads from the lattice work, you can go along the top or in the middle, just be consistent and depending on the loopiness you want make the pick up closer or further apart.

then you sort of do the same for the next row, pick up odd thread and bring them through the threads you have on already.

I'd imagine youtube would have demos on it.

Brilliant. I'd tried Plassard on YouTube which had come up with something unhelpful. Thank you moaningminge! It's exactly like that.
