crochet bag handle

hi

another question. i find the patterns are not always clear.

i am making a bag handle.

I have crocheted 110 chains and then gone the other way left, anti clockwises with 110 hts. I now have to join in the next colour. if i join it in at the end (l) where i have just finished, it will mean i am crocheting on the wrong side on the way back. it is not like knitting is it. should i start again at the right hand side and do the next row of hts.

when i made the granny square i always went in the same direction anti clockwise. would this be the same with straight rows.

i am a knitter and used to going back and forth if that makes sense but it is not too clear in crochet.

my conclusion is that i would start each row at the same end so that all the stitches are on the same side of the work(r). are the chains a bit like cast on stiches in knitting.

it is very hard to explain on here. hope it is clear

Going back is fine - it's how all crochet is done when done in rows :) One row is "right" side to the front, the next is "wrong" side to the front.

oh thanks soup, so it is kind of like doing a pearl row in knitting. i started going back the other way as i figured if you were using one colour you would have to do this
