Hi mums,
Please share any creative ideas for decorating cardboard boxes. What materials do you use, stickers, paints, anything that might be useful.
I am thinking to turn some brown dull boxes into toy storage boxes for my son.
Will appreciate if you share your experience.
Thanks !

Wilkinsons do plastic sticky backed vinyl film in bright colours, cow print and, if I remember correctly, a sweetie print like a load of smarties together. It might be more hard wearing than sticking sheets of a comic onto the boxes with wallpaper paste.

How old is DS as this may impact on what people suggest?

A collage using old magazines. If the boxes are going to hold particular toys, eg cars you could do a car themed one and so on so that he knows which type of toy goes in which box.

Have you thought of using those wooden packing crates instead of cardboard boxes ?? - much harder wearing & will last as long as you want them too, unlike cardboard & you can probably pick them up for free if you post a want in friday ad, or your local freecycle, greencycle or freegle.

I agree with your DS age making a difference to suggestions, so will wait on that before adding any decor ideas
