I have soooo many photos, I was just wondering what everyone does with theirs?! Mine are just in a big box, all mixed up. I did put photos of ds1 in albums but then kind of stopped doing it.

I don't really get mine printed off since having a ditital camera. When I do it's really to put in a card/album or to give to someone.

I am just about to get into scrapbooking, something I have promised myself I would do "for me" for a few years now, but never getting around to it.SadI will just select my favourites, that will keep be busy for years!Wink

I would love some one to do scrap booking of the girls for me

I am tempted to try myself, I could do it, but need one right in front of me to copy!!!!

couldn't make it up myself!

Mine are all on the PC too, I just go through periodically and print off (I use truprint, I know some poeple on here dont like them but I think they're great online) any I want to.

You can get those metal lunch boxes can't you, Canny Crafts do them but they are out of stock, desigmned to be decorated and then used to store photos.

PeachyClair · 28/02/2006 17:23

anniebear if you get one of the scrapbooking mags in WHSmiths, you'll find plenty of layouts to copy.

You'll find that several of us on the A&C threads haev SN kids it's really relaxing and gives us a break. Does me anyway.

Mine are in 2 boxes, all mixed up :o

Recently got a load of my digital photos printed from a website with the intention of putting them in albums (sort of like scrap books but with less embellishment and more photos per page if that makes sense.)

Dingle · 28/02/2006 17:37

Hi anniebear, don't see you over here very often.WinkI think it is something you just have to have a go at. Don't use original photographs, scan them in, that way you really can't go wrong.

With practice, experience and a bit of inspiration and guidance, you will be well away. To do it yourself, will be so much more rewarding and something to wrap yourself up in and get away from the stresses of every day!Wink

tell you a good thing that i did with mine . i went to a really cheap shop and got one of those frames that have plastic instead of glass and cardboard for backing and i made a collage. i cut all my photos up and put them in this frame . i now have beautiful pictures of my girls right in fornt of me when on comp and they arent shut away. everytime i look at it i see something different Smile
i have also made one of everyone i know from present and past and its by my front door. when people came round after i had made it i made them look for themselves Grin

cheap and useful but looks fantastic!!!!

I took some good close up pics of various animals at the zoo. Was debating whether to use them on cards ?? Small square pic of close up - might do a mock up & see what you all think Grin

Second mama3, I bought 2 massive clipframes and done one of family & one of my wedding. They are fab. There are no embellishments or anything, just photys. This was before I started Arts & Crafts of course. Now I have a big box of photos which I think is fine, I have a cull every few years, but my mum had a box as well and I used to love getting the 'photos out. Will pass them on to DS.

PeachyClair · 28/02/2006 18:43

Whizz, I'm considering something similar: if it's as snowya s they say tomorrow, i'm going over the amphitheatre (behinds the kids school- fantastic place) to do some photos which I will use on my Christmas cards.

Whizzz · 28/02/2006 18:46

Peachy.....now that's planning Grin

PeachyClair · 28/02/2006 18:51

Well, how many people get to live near the only proper amphithatre in the UK? And it doesn't snow much when you're actually doing the cards, does it?

I have hundreds of photos and have always tried to remember to put a wee note on the packet about when or where they were taken as well as a wee note on the back of the photo. I was really glad I did this the other night because we are having a clear out of our "junk" room and I decided to put them all into order. I have bought shelves from Ikea and loads of leather effect boxes to put craft stuff in. The boxes come in all different shapes and sizes so i just chose a couple for photos while I was there. i now have alovely ordered box full of precious photos. I also now have a digital camera so am trying to remember to back my photos up on disk!

oops! Blush

kiwibella · 28/02/2006 21:13

oh, do it Hullabaloo... make the time to sit down and label your photos. Last year, we spent hours pouring over a case of photos of my grandfathers. They weren't labelled and he has such bad eyesight that we had to describe the scenes in them and he had to play around with each picture under a lamp. It was loads of fun and totally fascinating but he did regret not doing it before (as he had always intended!).
