Car seat covers

I am currently thinking of passing my son's high backed booster seat onto my daughter. (DS is now into a booster without a high back).

However DD is a fussy little so and so and I would like to re cover it for her.... What fabric do you think I might use and would it be OK to just draw round the current covers?

I have a pattern that I bought for dc2 but never got round to using (too many projects on the go!) I've tried ebaying it but had no interest so was just going to take it to the charity shop. It is simplicity pattern 4636. If you would like it (for free) pm me your details and I'll pop it in the post.

Ah just noticed you have a high back booster seat. This pattern is a newborn car seat.
