It comes to something when you cant even get to post a piccie on the gallery you moderate!

I totally cleared my albums last week as I wanted to have a sort out and put up some newer stuff.
As my membership to the scrappers site appears to have been revoked, I was also going to post some piccies in the gallery of some LO's.

I cant do either because the gallery has been suspended by Yahoo because it has gone over quota. It will not be reactivated until files have been deleted and disc space freed up.

The idea behing the yahoo gallery was that it would be a place for those without a website to showcase their work. It gave us all a chance to have a look at each others creations and hopefully get a few orders to help suppport our sad addiction of buying new stash!!

As the group has grown over the past few months, with newer members joining up, the disc space in the gallery has vanished therefore we have no other option but to ask the following :-

If you have your own website can you please remove any cards from the gallery.
The "All New" folders will be available for you to showcase your newest designs with a maximum number of 12 images.
Should any mumsnetter's wish to see any of your other designs, then you can direct them to your website via the link you leave in the edit facility helow each image.
The all new albums should be updated on a monthly basis with older images removed.

The albums of the above users will be deleted on the 1st of March.

You will however be able to upload more images into the "special ocassions" gallery which we used over Christmas.
The next ad will go into small business threads over the next week or so and will be for Mothers Day cards.
There is no limit to how many cards you upload to this album which is used specifically or selling cards....so get making!

Other users....please have a look at the cards you have in your albums and delete any older images.
In some cases there are images of the same card in "all new" and in individuals files....this uses up far to much disc space.
Some of the "all new" designs have been there for months!!
I have deleted 11 full sized images ~ some of which were in the older members galleries....tut tut!! You should all know how to do this....if not then please ask.

This option appears to be the fairest way to give everyone the oppurtunity to display their work.

Treat this as a spring clean and tidy up your albums.

Hiya, so does that mean I have to remove all of my bits from the all new or are any of us allowed to have 12. I don't think I have any images in individuals. But when I tried to remove the one card in there it wouldn't let me remove it.

Ive managed to unlock it and its allowing deletions but no more additions please.
It really does need a good sort out.
There is not enough space for everyone...so I hope those with the their own websites dont mind deleting their cards.

UCM you can have a maximum of 12 cards on show in the "All new" album as you have your own website you can offer a link to it in the edit function of your image.

Please can everyone have a look and delete some of their older designs...make sure that all full size have been down sized and check thier cards are not duplicated in other folders.

Armed with me pink rubber gloves and me matching feather duster, I've done some spring cleaning early. I've just left 2 cobweb covered cards in the All New,
Hope this is OK

Pixiefish, Soapbox and UCM please make sure you delete the full sized images of any uploads you make. Its a real PITA for AQ and I to have to keep trawling through the albums to find the over sized files.

UCM....can you move the CJ pages in your album over to the scrappers gallery??...thanks.

Hopefully if everyone cleans up their albums and doesnt duplicate in any of the others, then those that have been asked to remove their albums will not have to.

JARM....you can add your album back....thanks for deleting it....it helped to free off enough space for me to whizz round the gallery.....just make sure you delete the full sized images....you do know how to dont you?

JM - no idea about full size images etc.... I just download from the pics i take from my digi camera!

Tis easy.

Upload photo's to yahoo

when your piccies are there click on the image

along the top of the photograph you will see the words Full Size

click on this link

Its will bring your picture up on screen (but it will be so huge you wont be able to see it properly)

scroll right and along the top of the screen it says "delete full size"

click on this link

it then will ask if you wish to delete image
click on it....dont worry your piccie will still be there.

Thats it....its really very easy to do.
Any probs....just shout.

JM, I've tidied everything up for now. Deleted any duplicated pics. Removed all of mine from the categorised albums, swaps,new and any doubles of mine from the challenges. There are still lots of doubles on the challenge albums. eg, al pics in I sent, I made, originals...are all duplicated again in the "Final album". Can I help tidy that up for you. Not sure I have access to delete them though.
Give me a shout if you need me to take any more of mine off, or delete them all together!

JM- I've deleted the 4 pics that I had in the individual folder. There are 6 cards tat are in the valentines section that I can't delete.

That's all the cards I had though so I was under the 12 but I've deleted them anyway

There is no need for you all to rush and clear your albums...just tidy them up a bit by deleting any old images or duplicated ones.

I think the gallery was suspended because so many users uploaded last week and didnt delete the full sized images. Ive doubled checked all the albums and fingers crossed havent found anymore.

There is quite a bit of free disc space now so we can carry on as we are for a little while. Maybe its a good idea to remember to update and refresh your albums a little more frequently.

AQ and I will carry on keeping our eye on the space used and of course the odd images that get through without being down sized

If we need to change anything then we will let you know.

PF ~ can you post a link because I dont seem to be able to find a Valentines album??? Im tired so probably not looking properly! Your cards dont have to be deleted now as there is more disc space available since everyone tidied up a bit! But if you want them done I can do it for you.

Dingle....thanks for the offer of help. AQ looks after the challenge albums and Im sure she is going to be having a bit of a clear out. There are so many albums of users who dont post anymore.

Thanks everyone for sorting this so quickly. There is now plenty of space to see some of your lovely cards.

Dont forget Mothers Day is the 26th of March and we will be placing an ad on small business after next weekend..a new album will be opened in the "other" gallery by 25th Feb, so you can upload any cards that are available to order on to that gallery.
