Which glue for bonding cabochons to metal?

I'm not sure which is best. We're hoping to glue fimo and plastic flowers to metal flat pad findings, to make rings and hair slides. We've successfully used Beacon Gem-Tac to stick felt to the findings in the past, but of course this doesn't work for the less porous materials (I did try I confess Blush ). Nor does superglue.

I would use an epoxy resin like Araldite.

Thank you, have now ordered some of the Araldite.

I'd second Araldite - I've used it in similar projects & it lasts for years
