jubilee hat?

there is a street party on june 5th at our local museum, and they have a hat competition for children. As I am actually due with DC2 on the 5th (but am likely to go overdue), I don't want to do anything too elaborate^ but have been thinking about silly ideas for a jubilee themed hat for 2yo DS.

So far I have though up:

  • a fez (which he has already) with some felt corgis cut out in blue and white, and tacked on to it (a la this).
  • a baseball cap made into a corgi somehow.

does anyone have any ideas? preferably not needing much in the way of skill, as I am comprised mainly of thumbs and bump at the moment!

A gold crown with corgis on it? Even easier.

What colour is the fez? You could stick blue paper on top and have some barges, or grey paper and put a street party? A match box for a table, some pipe cleaner people, and mini bunting and you'd be away. Or if full of braxton hicks put a union jack on it.
