OK following on from the anti-peel off & scrapbooking threads....What craft techniques haven't you tried, that you feel you should?

For me its scrapboking, heat embossing & eyelets !

I've only just bought brads to try . I'm also useless at stamping, so don't do that very often even though a have a few basic stamps.

I need to do more with my chalks.

In fact I need to do more with all my craft stuff. I was going to start scrapbooking this year but I have been rather busy suffering from morning sickness and tiredness instead .

Dingle · 12/02/2006 13:31

I'd like to try......

UTEEmore metal/wire work
*really attempt at scrapping
*dig out my sewing maching at use more stitching on my cards

  • altered art stuff!!! *jewellery making *another go at papermaking

hmmmm....better stop there me thinks!

I'd like to try making my own metal charms using the big shot dies, but need to wait until my new pads arrive!

I'd like to use fibres a bit more too without things looking messy! I loved the card in the gallery (can't remember whose it is) with the little fringed skirt on the fairy/angel).

Perhaps experimenting with fabrics as well would be fun.

So many things so little time - especially if I don't get myself of the computer!!!!!

moondog · 12/02/2006 14:11

They don't think so.

Seriously girls,I want to tackle a wedding ring quilt. (Can only do the simpleton squares.)

suzywong · 12/02/2006 14:21

well I just made a sun-dress and finished off a bias cut skirt so I feel able to make merry and qualify for being crafty today

moondog · 12/02/2006 14:23

Get you and your bias cutting folderol!!

Carolinett · 12/02/2006 14:25

Oh I'm just great a everything There isn't anything I haven't tried.

Carolinett · 12/02/2006 14:27

Believe that & you'll believe anything

moondog · 12/02/2006 14:27

Really???!!

suzywong · 12/02/2006 14:28

oh and I made some blue play-dough for the kids

PeachyClair · 12/02/2006 15:03

Anything that involves paper folding or sewing, but seriously doubt I ever will. I have only ever sewn one thing- rather bizarrely not a chsion / a-line skirt, but my ds2's Christening robe.

Dingle's list seems to cover me fairly accurately! Am adept at embossing / stamping etc, though.

Have everything I need to start scrapbooking this week properly, awaiting delivery of my photos Tuesday. Bit nervous tbh, but have some really nice stuff ready.

SoupDragon · 12/02/2006 15:05

I won't have time now.... waaaaa!

Whizzz · 12/02/2006 15:35

Trust some people to get smutty !!

Soapy - that was my card with the fringed skirt - I'll let you off now for peel off comments

I'm still trying to get to grips with the whole funky fibre thing!

Also want to use my chalks more (scared of using them and making a mess of my project!)

Would like to play with shrink plastic and spend much more time on my scrapbook! I need more space to try all these though!

Dingle, loved your phone charms and would like to attempt this at some point.

hullabaloo · 12/02/2006 22:05

....and learn to use my digital camera more effectively. I only know how to point and shoot, really want to learn how to be a bit more creative with that and incorporate this into my scrapping!

I would like to have a go at digi scrapping....quicker and less messy than the real thing but something I would love to try.
