There are loads on here that I am sure would be happy to help out, have a look on the yahoo album and email directly or shout out on here.

I have made hubby a little book recently, for valentines day, how about something like that?

If you decide to do it yourself, cotswold keepsakes have fab little fabric labels (like the care ones inside clothes) with Husband on.... I was coveting but spent far too much of my grant already!!

I did nice one you could adapt as well, champagne glasses with bubbles of eyelets (mine was girly cocktail but easily changed)- you could emboss 5 or anniversary repeatedly onto white card using ivory ink and pearly powder, then add your glasses and eyelets? Look here wedding anniversary meanings for ideas

Hi alcemama
Is it personal or can we see it when it's finished, if you and UCM don't mind. I understand if you don't want anyone to see it. It would just be nice to see a master piece created.

UCM · 18/02/2006 11:22

Carolinett, Alicemama has very kindly said I could put it on yahoo. So it's on there.

Carolinett · 18/02/2006 11:29

I know I'm a nosey so & so, but Oh my god that is a stunner of a card

UCM · 18/02/2006 11:37

Fanks, I enjoyed doing it as it was a challenge. I really really did take my idea there from Clintons though. But I like their handcrafted cards. Just don't like the prices.

Hows your limb

Carolinett · 18/02/2006 12:29

I'm like that if I see something I can replicate it. I really get stuck with ideas sometimes even the mags don't help.

Anyway about poor old me.
I had my plaster off Thursday, going from having the security of the plaster to nothing was a bit of a shock, the hospital said great, now off you go and wait for your physio to phone. Well when I got home and looked at it I burst into tears [I don't do disgusting very well I'm afraid]. My right calf was half the size of the other leg.

I was in desperate need of a leg wax, you would have thought the hospital would have done that
I'd put you off for life if I told you about the skin.

Anyway my DD No1 gave me the beauty treament full exfoliation right down to painting my toe nail, whilst DD No2 comforted me over the phone, there a pair of stars
I know big baby but I was devestated.
Anyway I'm on the way to recovery seeing the physio next Tuesday

Bet you wished you hadn't asked

UCM · 19/02/2006 10:33

Lots of buffing, exfoliating, and moisturising for your leg then. If that fails, get a wooden one

Or take a photo and use it to threaten children with... the'leg' will get you if you are naughty type of thing

Carolinett · 19/02/2006 11:19

LOL UCM
Good idea

UCM · 23/02/2006 01:00

alicemama,

Would you be interested in posting the cards you make for your florist here??\

Methinks you are probably Fab?

hullabaloo · 23/02/2006 20:39

ucm where did you get the little gardening tools on one of your cards? I absolutely loved the card and those have given me an idea for a card for my aunt.
Your cards are stunning by the way and I LOVED the anniversary card, just beautiful.

UCM · 24/02/2006 10:59

I make them from brown fimo clay and stiff grey card. I made some saws & screwdrivers as well. Just roll the fimo into a handle, bake and you have tools. Don't try digging with them though they break
