This might seem rather silly and trivial .... but how on earth do I make/use eyelets ...

You really need an eyelet kit but you could improvise a little!

Find something to punch a hole in your card with that is the same size as the eyelet hole. Push the eyelet through and turn the card over.

Use a biro pen and pop the point inside the eyelet hole and then with a hammer tap sharply a few times until the eyelet has splayed out on the back of the card. The hammer directly on back of eyelet a few times to smooth it down.

The eyelet kit is a much better idea though

Like the split pins we used to use as kids with the bendy back legs for securing, only these are posher now. Eyelets are lijke the metal things on belt button holes iykwim? You should have a set to fix them, really, look on the galleries at my card bubbles for an example

can't get the craftmagic address to copy, but I am sure you can mange it- it's their paper, esp. the basic grey range, that is so great
