How many projects do you have on the go?

Come and make me feel better about the fact that I have so many unfinished projects

I have a scarf which is two thirds finished can't be arsed cos it is not winter anymore (crochet)

A flowers in snow blanket (crochet) - this is for me, I love it, but wanted a break from using so many different colours

A baby blanket (crochet)- for a colleague, needs to be finished by July

Bunting (crochet)

A silk painted scarf - gutta-ed and pinned out half painted paint

A pile of uncompleted scrapbook pages

Some half finished birthday cards

I am sitting on my hands trying to stop myself from starting cushion covers and another blanket (seen some patterns I want to try)

I sometimes wish I could start one thing and finish it but it seems to be in my nature to flit and dabble and occasionally actually finish something!

I have a patchwork quilt that I am scared of a bag, a dress for DD and a selection of softies. I am a bit crap!

aJumpedUpPantryBoy · 12/04/2012 09:12

Just remembered that I also have a patchwork quilt and some knitting as well.

Hmmmm... Crochet wise I have my ripple blanket and my recycled ugly blanket and the little jackets I am making for a set of galvanised buckets. Those three are actually started. I also have the wool for another blanket so that is ready to be started.

I also have DIY projects - i.e. I need to decorate the whole house. I include this as it tends to lead to more projects (like the bucket jackets which are in my nearly finished Futility Room.) I have an old ladder to make into a towel ladder for the family bathroom... the bathroom which feds a new bat, re-tiling and a spot of tongue and groove panelling and some crochet bunting.

I als have a few sewing projects but they all in my head at the moment as I need to get my sewing machine serviced before I can start any of those.

You're making me feel much better.

I think part of my problem is I start something then get bored so I start something else.

I'm also easily tempted by new crafts and projects

Pleiades45 · 13/04/2012 20:06

I've about 5 quilt tops that need quilting, 2 knitting projects, 1 crochet project, 1 cross-stitch project and a goldwork project.

To be honest I've lost count!

startail · 13/04/2012 20:09

Don't ask,
I have an UFO, piece of xstitch for DMIL who died 12 years ago and another meant for DD2's nursery, she's11Blush

ragged · 13/04/2012 20:20

Only 2, not counting DD's quilt which could use more quilting but i have bound it for now so I can put it to one side.

DancingRoundTheKitchen · 13/04/2012 20:50

A hat for DD, needs sewing up & pomspoms attaching
PJ bottoms for me and DD, just need the waist bands finishing
12 soft blocks (6 for my baby, 6 for a friend's), squares cut out, need sewing up and stuffing
A teddy DS designed (?!) made but needs a face
A frog soft toy, cut out but not a stitch on it

BigBoobiedBertha · 14/04/2012 05:59

I don't think I could list all mine tbh. Blush

Just as an example I have

  • a cardigan for me. Back done and one side
  • jumper for DS1 - only the sleeves to go but it has taken so long it had better be for DS2 now.
  • Granny stripe blanket. I have 3 100g balls each for 4 colours and have only used about a ball and a bit for each colour so it is going to be big.
  • Countless samples for my patchwork and quilting City and Guilds
  • an assessed piece for C&G (probably a table runner)
  • 1/3 of a crocheted hexagone blanket.
  • blanket with squares - knitted
  • a pair of socks (they scared me - I was frightened of doing heels but I have done one and now lost interest with the rest of the sock and its pair) Blush
  • half a tank top for me
  • a hat for DS1 - I used DK and small needles. Big mistake. It is taking too long and is all rib which is boring.
  • a summer jumper I have done about half the back for
  • I have volunteered to make some stuff for a craft stall at the church fete. Loads of bits needed for that. I daren't even think about it.

So what have I done for the past few nights? Read craft magazines and got more ideas.

RueDeWakening · 14/04/2012 18:49

Erm, dunno! Off the top of my head:
6 reversible sunhats cut out and ready to sew, but not a stitch actually on them yet, for a craft fair in May.
1 sunhat both sides sewn and just needs joining together, ditto.
8 tooth fairy purses cut out, appliqued and some of them part sewn, ditto.
1 applique tshirt, know what I'm doing just need to get bum in gear and do it.
1 applique tshirt for DD's friend's bday - which is tomorrow, this is tonight's job!
1 sunhat age 6-12m, had to draft new pattern for that one and have made a draft version of it just need to check size on an appropriately aged baby at playgroup on Monday before I make it up (this is an order).
1 jelly roll race quilt, jelly roll hasn't arrived yet though, race is in about 2 weeks time.
A load of bandana bibs for the craft fair too.

And loads of stuff that's just on a back burner till I get a moment to do it.

I keep looking through my copies of Sew Hip and finding more stuff to make though!

BsshBossh · 14/04/2012 20:34

Not a lot, actually, because I'm a "completist", even though I get bored with a project I have to see it through to its bitter end!

So, two current projects:
Cable scarf
Patchwork throw

BigBoobiedBertha · 14/04/2012 20:50

I will finish mine BssBosch, despite appearances and my list - I am, in personality type lingo, a completer/finisher but I do like starting things too. It is the bit in the middle I find a bit dull.Blush

My list bothers me and will continue to do so until I get it done. Just don't know when that will be!

BigBoobiedBertha · 14/04/2012 20:53

Whoops I missed out an 'h' from your name. I should know better by now! Smile

aJumpedUpPantryBoy · 14/04/2012 20:54

I wish I was a completist.

I love finishing projects (probably cos it's a rare pleasure for me) but I get more of a thrill planning and starting things.

As well as the many uncompleted things I have I also want to start a ripple blankets, a granny stripe and some crocheted cushions.

I'm even thinking about sewing some Summer skirts, despite the fact I've never made clothes and don't know where to start

A dress for 4 year old, A baby quilt for her expected sister (due August), Some cushions 'pockets' for the caravan, Cotton knitting for DDIL, various softies, oh and some stuffed fruit for fruit bowl.

MoaningMinnieRisesAgain · 14/04/2012 23:28

I have a baby cardi in alpaca that just (!) needs sewing up, was knitted in one piece so minimal really, I just don't like sewing up. Some lacy wristwarmers for DD, same.

Half a knitted cardi that I started for DD so long ago that my tension is totally different now - will need to be redone TBH.

WIP is a baby cardi in Snuggly 4ply, am still on the first sleeve. I finished and posted 2 baby hats though

and frogged half a knitted elephant with too many mistakes in it

Moomoomie · 15/04/2012 09:51

I too am a completist, if that is a correct word!
I enjoy seeing something through to the end.
I have a couple of dresses for dd to finish and a few pencil rolls I have started, but will finish this week, before I start on some nighties for dd.
