Is there any card makers out there? I dont have much money to be extravagent, but me and dp ahve gone through a tough year and i want to get him an extra special valentines day card I have looked in the shops and all the gifts seem a little tacky and the cards don't really say enough iyswim. So i would love to get him a little personalised gift and/or card and would be willing to pay of course anyone that could help or give me any advice on good sites TIA xx

I do Welsh cards too, BTW! Thought it would be fun for the boys to give their friends and sort of caught on.

Pixiefish · 07/02/2006 14:52

Whereabouts are you then peachy? Are you in Wales or over the border?

AuntyQuated · 07/02/2006 16:02

me too...i did a big MN card order, all in welsh. had no idea what they said but it was good to do something a bit different.

PeachyClair · 07/02/2006 16:04

I'm in Caerleon. Where abouts are you?

Hobbycraft in Newport sell happy birthday peel offs too don't they? Make me

PeachyClair · 07/02/2006 16:04

welsh language ones, obv!

Pixiefish · 07/02/2006 18:18

Up North peachy- on the island that is the mother of Wales. I can get my hands on all sorts of Welsh peel offs if you want me to go and get some for you, wedding, anniversary, birthday, new home, all sorts

Dingle · 07/02/2006 18:20

Craft Creations do a small range of Welsh peel offs too!!

I have made several Welsh cards for another Mnetter. I always check, and double check...and check again with the spellings. I am paranoid I will spell it wrong!

Pixiefish · 07/02/2006 18:31

It's the mutations that get people into trouble- lol. There are so many rules and exceptions. I do most of my scrapbooking in Welsh as well.

layla · 08/02/2006 11:41

Oh goodie,do you Welsh ones know any love greetings I can put on a valentines card for somebody please? For example 'with love' and the word for love or 'I love you?Such as that just a few different ones I can choose out of .And any more you've got like that?

Pixiefish · 08/02/2006 14:05

Love is Cariad. I Love you is 'Rwy'n dy garu di (Remember the apostrophe at the beginning)

layla · 08/02/2006 15:28

thanks Pixiefish that's great.

PeachyClair · 08/02/2006 16:59

Pixiefish, that's great . I will take you up on that soon!

When we moved here I changed the logo on my card backs to a small stamped reed dragon from Canny Crafts, it was meant as a joke for my friends but we fell in love with it- much like Wales really (though I can claim genetic precedent as my Gransparents go by the name of Griffith and hail from Pembroke).
