Anyone got a 2 ply pattern ? HELP needed.

I have 2 ply yarn and a burning desire to knit a cardigan for the new GC due in August. MIL knitted my DCs a 2 ply cardi in c1982 and I have the pattern but it is 20-22 ins so too large for what I want. Ravelry only has patterns in Norweigan ( !)which I cant read .

Has anyone got Peter Pan book 288 it has a 2 ply cardi in it which might do but don't really want to pay out for a whole book with only one useful pattern which might not be what I want anyway.

Ladies at the wool shop just laughed at me and said I was loopy to want to knit in 2 ply anyway.

I have book 289, that has a lacy matinee coat in 2 ply

It's the bottom middle one - if you zoom in you should be able to see it. Any good to you?

Quite a few Ravelry patterns if you extend the yarn range to include 3 ply as well - have a look.

I've got book 288 if you still want it. PM me and I'll send it to you.

trumpton · 22/03/2012 12:52

angelpantser Oh Gosh. Yes please. Beacause that book actually got a 2 ply cardi in it. Still love Donkeys tho. But might bit a bit lacy if GC is another boy. Will PM you.

OK Trumpton it will be going in the post today or tomorrow. I've worked with 2ply before when I made a crochet Christening gown for my neice, but I've never made a cardigan with it. Best of luck. Grin

Posted first class this afternoon. Hopefully it will be with you tomorrow.

Thank you so much. Been frogging and tinking madly today as I try to master a faggotting stitch with a twisted cable and keeping the pattern correct whilst decreasing every knit row at arm and every third row at neck . Been a bit challenging to say the least. 2 ply has to be easier !! ,< deluded >

You're kidding. A fagotting stich? [grim]

Thank you ANGEL Thanks It arrived this morning and I was able to take it to show MIL, she was thrilled to see it and bemoaned the fact that she can no longer knit so finely ( It remains to be seen if I can even start it !)

But I must finish the 4 ply cardi that I am doing . It is THIS ONE the bottom view. The centre panel should be a T6 but kept giving me a hole so I have replaced it with a C6B and that has worked. To either side is a lacet twist that looks like a faggoting stitch to me.

Such fun ! < Miranda stylee >
