Rubber stamps....

Hi girls.... as some of you know im new to all this, but just need a bit of advice on how to clean the rubber stamps?!

Have been using baby wipes, but they are still a bit grubby..... any magic tricks out there?!

I use warm soapy water in a bowl and an old, soft toothbrush. Brush the stamp till it looks clean then leave to dry on a tea-towel. It seems to work on any I use with dye or pigment inks.

thanks hun! had a little play with my bits and bobs last night and wondered why i couldnt get it clean enough.

Dh made his first card last night bless him - he tried! Ill give my first attempt a go tonight!

do not imerse the stamps in water!! it will loosen the glue and eat away at the rubber. invest in stamp cleaner and a scourer mat (comes in a set)

I bought some stuff that's specific for cleaning them. The instructions are on the tube

If you're ever going to use permanent ink (eg on acetate) you'll need the stamp cleaner, otherwise I just sue tha baby wipes and make up toner. It's the same principle for the brushes we used to use at college: if it can go on my skin, it's safe for my tools. Make up cleaner (esp. eye make up) should do it too.
