names on water bottles

Can anyone tell me if there is a paint that will stick to a child's water bottle? I have been using permanent markers but they are not so permanent and one bottle is black so I've been using sticky labels.

Surely, there's a better way to do it?

ha ha sorry no useful answer but my MIL was convinced it was the markers I was using and insisted on covering my DS bottle in her big black golf marker pen. she insisted I had swapped the bottle when it wasn't still there the next week! I am afraid it is the coating on the bottle that stops permanent marker adhering to it. You could try a label instead but they too peel off eventually.

I gave up with markers & now scratch DDs name onto hers - works much better, especially if you then add marker to the "groove" to help it stand out

Try acrylic paint or nail varnish Smile

I threaded alphabet beads on elastic to go over dds bottle.

thanks for the answers, I'm going to try the nail varnish which seems like the easiest solution.

I use this sort of thing
www.labels4kids.com/product/14/mini_vinyl_labels/d4041ea7d30ac9d61a9f1b8deda117d0
They stay put, even Going through the dishwasher. I do lunch boxes etc. Worth the money as no more lost stuff.
