Dmil says cushion, I say tin. What do you use?

Both

A variation of both. Tin is good for holding the variety I have, including tiny headed ones and ones that have gert chunky bobs on them. I have a pin cushion out when I am working on something. It one that goes over my hand, the pad sits on the back of the hand and the elastic goes across the palm.

I have a habit of sitting on pin cushions that aren't contained, so when I was putting it in a tupperware tub to keep it safe I decided to search out the perfect tin. It's a small round tobacco tin that my grampy kept some screws in, a quick wipe around and it's perfect to hold my many pins.

Oooh, ooh, I say tin too - but look what I did to make my sewing life a lot easier.
