Problems with Pinterest

I just joined pinterest last night. I signed up through my facebook as it didnt give me much choice but Id read you can unlink it later. It had problems loading from the start, when I finally got on its showing my facebook profile pic, which Im not happy with as it has my daughter in. So I went into settings and clicked to upload an image but it just takes me back to the top of the page and nothing happens. I also unlinked fb and saved changes but the changes dont save when I go back into settings its linked again. I also cant link my twitter account either. I gave up with it last night.
Ive been on it this morning and still having the same problems. I tried to create a new board and when I click create board the button just doesnt respond, tried again a little bit later and have managed to creates some boards now, but still have the profile pic problem.

Is it just bugs with the website? has anybody else had any issues? Ive sent them an email but dunno how long it will take for them to respond.

Im keen to start using this and its got me wanting to be creative and make stuff!!

I havent tried to pin or repin anything yet so dunno if thats working properly, but I dont want to start repinning and following random people with my pic for all to see...so annoying.

I havent really used it enough to know about your specific problems and I am not linked to FB, but there are some days (quite often) when it has lots of problems and I get tons of error messages, so might be worth trying again in a day or two.

Thanks, I still can't unlink my Facebook account and it's posting what im pinning to the newsfeed, which I don't want so I won't be using it until they sort this
Doesn't seem like anybody else is having this problem, maybe I should just delete it and start again

I don't know how to unlink but I do know tgat you have to update your pic when you change your Fb one ie it's not automatic so you could chand your Fb pic and then upload to pinterst and tge change tge Fb one back.

I log in with an email not via Facebook or Twitter. I just checked account settings and there are indeed two buttons for Facebook and Twitter which you can change from On to Off and then save in the bottom. Try to log in with an email and not Facebook. May be that will help.

Thanks for the help. I'm still having the same problems though. I have been logging in with my email but still can't unlink fb, or change my picture, it's so frustrating, I even tried to delete the account, but that button didn't respond either. I've emailed them again asking for my account to be removed. I am going to try and re-register with my other email and my twitter. I've read a few others having the same problems but not many. Don't know if they will ever respond to my email so will have my pic up there, even though I won't use the account and there's nothing I can do about it.

I am a loner on pinterest and don't follow anyone, I am just happy pinning rather than bookmarking everything I like.

I log in with my email, but now have one of my FB "friends" following me. Grrr all this cyber-connectiveness* is putting me off using it now. I wonder in 5/10 years time we will all be regretting how nieve we were?

And boy do I sound like an old hag! (I'm not btw) half term + sick kids = long day!
