Digitising 35mm negatives

Anyone had a go at transferring negatives to the computer using a home scanner? Am going to have a go and wld welcome any advice....

We have a scanner which will scan negatives. It worked well for us. It's been a few years since we scanned any negatives so I can't really remember whether there's any hints or advice. I think you need to specify whether it is a negative or a slide that you are scanning.

Thanks. My plan is to have a go tonight. Am unreasonably excited! I did a recipe book using old family pics and recipes for Christmas - my sisters and brother loved it so I'm hoping this will blow them away
