Ideas for daughters room

I am looking for something for my daughters bedroom to put on the wall. I love the wooden letters (saw some really nice ones on ebay) but I'm wondering if I could make something. I thought about a canvas but does anyone have any ideas of where I could get things to put on it. I have two little girls and would like to put there names on it too.

You can make your own letters out of carboard with a bit of masking tape, either use scraps of papers [scrapbooking stuff, snipped into squares] or paint and embellish. Good for half term if your girls are old enough to join in.

I have picked up scrapbooking papers in a variety pack of 6x6 for about £3-4 in the range, the variety packs are good as they are usually co-ordinated tastefully.

Ooh forgot to say I used decals that peel off again at a later date from the lurvely amazon the brand is FunToSee

these were just some of what I bought they also do letters and more expensive room kits. I've also got the bunting too.

What I love about them is they can be repositioned to suit you or them. They can also be involved.

They also do sheets of chalkboard as well, which I plan on getting when DD is older.

That's perfect, exactly what I had in mind. Thank you for the links, I can't wait to get started. I've never actually made anything before so I'm not sure whether I should just go for the simple ones. My girls are only 2 and 4 months though so can't help, although the 2 year old will try :) thanks again!

I have seen buttons stuck on canvases in shapes (hearts, butterflies etc) or letters/names

Buttons are a good idea too thanks. I'm getting some peace this afternoon so I'm going to try and order some paper / stickers etc to get me going.
