What is slub yarn?

Does anyone know??

I got a lovely book out of the library which is about knitting and felting bags and thought I would give one a try. Went on to ebay to find some felting wool and came across this.

So does anyone know what slub yarn is and if so, will it be ok to use for a bag?

I think it's got like lumps of soft bits along it....you'll get a textured looking bag if you use it to knit with I expect...could be nicely random!
