I am a knitter myself and my hobby has been completely transformed by ravelry.com. Are similar databases available for quilters, embroiderers etc?

I would say though that your links are a a little difficult to pick out amongst the text - I had to hover my mouse over the text to find them (using Safari).

There are similar resources for sewing wew.mysewingcircle.com is one. Nothing as wonderful as Ravelry tho
