I'm looking for some inspiration, where do you keep all your supplies? I've lost my study/box room to dc3 so now have boxes piled up the corner of our bedroom but nowhere to work really. It's not easily accessible to I'm not doing much at the moment anyway, but am wondering about getting more organised so it's easier to do a few minutes here and there. I've got a lot of painting stuff, a few bags of knitting and crochet, a new sewing maching (untouched!) and no desk. The kids art/craft stuff is in a corner by the dining table but there's not really much more space for my stuff there too.
I did wonder about a corner of the garage but dh is a car nut and would not be pleased at all!

I bought one of those ikea units with cube shaped slots and am fiercely protective of its use for my craft things. It's got four slots and the white ones are £20.

I waited years and plotted. Then I got this little lot. Of course, I need MORE storage now Blush

Looks fabulous! I need baskets and jars for on top of my unit! Then take over the whole house by stealth...

I have the ikea Antonius storage frame that you can get different drawers/open metal baskets for. Its the best thing ever !!!
I have two frames, one of top of each other and 4 baskets of fabric, one of beads and buttons, one with knitting and one with pens, glues, etc.
Organised heaven

Those look great, I do love Ikea! I just need a bit of floor and wall space.

I've just realised I've been throwing away lovely jam jars and lids when I could be using them for bits and bobs. Thanks for the photos stitchthis, I love seeing how other people do things.

I love a jam jar... Just had to take one out of DS1s bed... He's after my button stash...

Oh no - our 12 week old kitten has today mastered the art of scaling the outside of my Antonius storage fame (climbs up basket by basket) to sit on the top where I cant reach him.
(serves me right for showing off in previous post on this thread)!

A good solution is to use wall rather than units. Get some pegboard and put all your stuff in pots to peg onto the wall. like this:

or even just stick your stuff onto the pegboard:

That way your stuff is all displayed out.

For a table you can make a picture/table which you can pull down from the wall when you need a table or push onto the wall to make a nice picture.
