Hi there!! My DH and I make cards (Wedding invitations, Birth Announcements etc, etc, etc)as a sideline under our business umbrella Two Good Paws. A really, really close friend is having a baby in Feb (EDD 13th) and would like us to make her Birth Announcements. Would really love to do an amazing job for her - so wondering if any ofyou other crafty bods out there could give me a few ideas for something special I can produce for her??? She loves incorporatng photos into things.

whawt about a mock up of a front page of a glossy magasine or newpaper with her picture and birth details? I've seen cards like that ( but I trhink ordered online) they are quite cute

What techniques do you use? For me, it would be a photo on a sideboard (loads of toys round bottom, maybe a decoupage rocking horse?) with the frame made by triple embossing a stamp into pewter powder (you make pewter with silver and dark red powder mixed) and then cutting out the centre.

Rubber ducks (stamps, die cuts, quilled- whatever you prefer) holding a banner between them might work for cute factor. I have done these before with a pop up photo inside of the baby (but that was for someone with a good sense of humour!)

How about a traditional but very pretty card, with a mini envelope wrapped in the appropriate colour narrow satin ribbon and a photo inside? That would be nice.
