I have a zillion blanket squares. How do I stitch them together?

SIL is having a baby in just over a month's time. I've got halfway through knitting the squares for a blanket for him but have just realised that I have no idea how to sew the squares together Blush I was wondering if I could do a blanket stitch with contrasting threads but I can't find any instructions for sewing squares like that. Any ideas?

Have a look at YouTube - there are lots of tutorials on there. You could stitch each individual square together and then do a moss stitch border all around for a nice finished look. To do the border do one side at a time. Pick up stitches along the edge of the blanket, then attach your yarn and knit about 8 rows of moss stitch, depending on the size of your blanket. Repeat for all sides.
