Over the last few years my Mil has been buying me craft type stuff and since i have quite a bit now i thought i ought to put it to some use and actually make something. Im not sure why she keeps buying it me but anyway...

I have

10 pairs of sissors in a case - they all have different edges, some zigxag and some wavy etc

some cutter outer things, a star shape, a moon shape and some others

a gold and silver ink pad thingy - not sure what you do with that

Some ribbon type things

some shiney things in differnet shapes, hands and bells and stuff

Various cards, and bits of other stuff.

And a book all about making scrap books or family albums or something

Help!!! Whats the best way to get started?

did you fancy scrapbooking or cardmaking? or both? or neither?

cutter outers are punches,

ink pad is for use with stamps or brayers or even brushes

are the shiney things small, sounds like confetti, used to decorate craft stuff, tables. and more....

have i scared you away?

Well there are two things you an do with that lot, either make something or sell it on ebay . Actually there's a third, clutter up your house with.

What's a ribbon type thingy btw?

Have a look at one of the galleries (post an address in the minute)- does anything inspire you?

Thank you

I was thinking of making a scrap book for my boys, starting with scan photos and working up. I did try and make one for ds1, mainly with felt tips and coloured card I love it but its not very good.

Am just having a look through the gallery

Tamba - as long as you like it and enjoy doing it then that's wat matters.

have a look thru the book and see if you come across any design and/or any techniques that you like the look of and give them a go.

you can make mini books with the bits you have, they're fun and quick to do.
