any thoughts on whether this is good? i have one of the john lewis mini ones that i find a bit annoying and fiddly and think i am ready to move on a bit - seems a bargain to get a singer for this price?

I would call this sewing machine a bargain not because of the price but because it is a well-known brand. It is a bargain to buy a Singer sewing machine for less than £100.00.

thats what i was thinking. am seriously tempted, theres an aldi 2 minutes from me that have some in stock. not sure i can justify treating myself at this time of year though! hmmmm, may have to have a look later in the week....

My dad bought me a singer from lidl. i have had little issues with it but it could be me forgetting how to do things after a long time away from sewing OR it could be the machine.

I wouldn't go for a Singer, it's not the same brand it used to be. For the same price I'd go for this one in JL, I think it's a much better make, personally.
