How do I make a nice brown?

I'm dying some obv, and want to do a nice brown/baby blue combo. How do I get a 'nice' brown? I know red + green makes a basic brown, but what should I add to it to get a nice shade that works with baby blue?

I think of browns as being either yellow or red based, so would add one or t'other to red and green, black or blue to darken.
