Making prints of baby hands and feet

Hi all.
I'd like to make chistmas cards for the family this year with a print of my 6m old's hand/foot. Obviously, I wouldn't want to use a dye that would irritate his skin or stain for too long a period. Was thinking maybe beetroot, but then again it takes me ages to get that completely off my hands. Does anyone have any ideas? What about poster paint?
Thank you!

Any child-friendly non-toxic paint should be fine.
Poster paint would do.
You just need to make sure it's well washed off afterwards.

I did my dd's with poster paint - I sat her in the car seat on the kitchen table and lined up all the cards then did them quickly one after the next. She loved it!

You can buy ink pads that are washable ink - much less messy than paint!

I made reindeer faces with my dcs footprints this year, just used non toxic poster paints from Rymans. The dcs still have both feet :o

I'd rather have a Christmas card...
