that's sooooo coooot!! My best friend who lives away from me would love that suggestion.

That's nice, I've not seen it done like that before but the Rainbows did something similar for a Mothers Day card... (befrore my time mind- too clever for me)

On Mothers day I'll try, you'll see,
To be the best behaved that I can be
But if I fail to give you a rest
Here's a cup of tea from your loving pest

katylou25 · 08/01/2006 13:53

have done something similar when i worked at nursery - all the mums seemed to like it!

kiwibella · 08/01/2006 13:56

can I use that one PC???? I work with lots of children whose parents might enjoy that (some might agree with theirs being called a 'pest' too!!).

PeachyClair · 08/01/2006 15:24

Course you can, no problem. I kinda made the rhyme upa s I went (I can't remember them at all!) so feel free to variate it at will (though yes, the pest bit would make me smile!)

Another one for Mothers Day (or general spring time birthdays come to that) is a card with a packet of seeds inside - have to make sure though that its around the right time of year to pant them tho !

PeachyClair · 08/01/2006 15:53

Yes, I sued to make a acard where I put sunflower seeds in a vellum envelope, mounted it on a horticultual card (nice papers, dried flowers) then used the phrase 'A friendship is like a garden: if tended carefully, it will grow'. That was among my best recieved cards. it can also be used for valentines cards (love-in-a-mist seeds) 'Our love just grows and grows'- for gardening fans, and if you use some ceramic carrots (I think they have them here you can make great kids 'interactive' cards: I always like to hide small gifts like seeds or toys on kids cards, makes it so special (I use those little wiggly plastic worms in pockets on bug themed cards too)

Whizzz..... LOL at my typing but at least I don't want to PANT my seeds! PMAL!

PeachyClair · 08/01/2006 16:44

Now, if you compare the prices with caras Crafts (was that the one?) they're actually cheaper, so you're not spending, you're saving. Honest, like guv!
