How many cloves per pommander please?

I need to make about 12 and looking at quantities of cloves.

How many grams per orange are needed? I don't think we will be covering them but not sparse either!

I think I used about 2/3 of a normal spice jar from the supermarket per orange if I remember correctly lol.

Bloody loads. If I remember, I think the whole orange needs to be covered in order to stop the fruit from rotting?

we made six last year and used two normal sized spice jars (lots were broken). Entirely depends on whether you cover the oranges though or just make patterns. We made patterns

I used to cover the orange but now I just stick a handful in. Never had an orange rot on me.

they last for ages. We did ours on about 5th December last eyar and they were fine until we took the decorations down. They just dry out
