Fabric pens that work and don't wash out?

Organising a craft activity for our school Xmas Fair so got to get this right! I've decided against fabric paints as they take too long to dry. Can anyone vouch for any good alternatives that really work and won't wash out please?

I used Crayola ones once. You have to iron them to set them but parents could do that at home.

How about some stickers too? You can get special sheets of paper that you use in a regular printer that you can iron on. Fill a few pages full of little clip art pictures, cut out, and then let the children tell you where to stick them. So you can iron them on for them.

No. They go on just like regular felt tip pens on a T shirt. It can be a bit tricky to draw on stretchy fabric, so a bit of card inside while the customers draw on them might be a good idea. (I assume you're doing T-shirts?)

I'm trying to think if there's a way we could iron on site as think this would produce best results but ohters worried about health and safety etc...

Do you have a kitchen area or a seperate meeting room not in use, you could set the iron up in there and do a handful at a time.

I got on well with the crayola ones too, we used them at Guides and I took them home to iron at my leisure.

I'v bought berol pens and pentel crayons and will probably end up folding them over tissue paper and asking parents to iron at home...
