Crackle glaze paint question ...

lesterlassone · 20/11/2011 23:47

I'd like to get a crackled effect on some small wooden bits and pieces, using those little sample pots of emulsion paint.

The Plastikote range of aerosols advertises a "two-part" process using the colours they supply - unless I'm reading it wrong :) whereas I just need an easy to use "top coat" over my own paint.

Any advice or recommendations please?

I thought you got the cracks by painting a base coat and then your chosen top coat. Anyway, whether it is top or bottom, you can buy it at Homebase You could try the paint effects aisle of any DIY store.

That's great, thanks SD. Off to the DIY store later today, then there will be no stopping me!
