Bought part 1 today for just 99p. Hoping to be inspired and it had some nice card and envelopes with it

Has anyone else bought it? For those real creative types, what do you think of it?

I couldn't resist it either, Posey. It's now on the top shelf of a cupboard waiting for dd to start her 'I'm booooored' routine. 99p!

I bought it expecting it would be useful for a beginner, because most of the magazines you can buy are aimed at more advanced crafters. I was surprised though as it assumes that you have an awful lot of cardmaking kit already so maybe it's not so useful for me as I thought it might be. Although at 99p it was worth getting even if just for the papers.

Dingle · 05/01/2006 12:15

Only saw this advertised on TV last night. It's worth getting it for the paper alone IMO!

Going down to the shops later will try to get it and have a look.

peckarollover · 05/01/2006 12:23

Is it 99p each time??

PeachyClair · 05/01/2006 12:25

Thought the card blanks alone were worth it as the ideas on the front were a bit basic, but actually I really like the pop up present card (you could easily theme it for a man- hallelujah- the Holy Grail of cards!) and I like some of the future ones, so going to subscribe for four issues (being that the subscription falls nicely in with my grant ), and give it a chance. Needed a paper trimmer / new cutting mat too, so the free subs gifts OK!

Dingle · 05/01/2006 12:26

I have been trying to work out the price too! Can see it on the website. Worth subsribing for the freebie, but at what price?

Anyone know?

Would have though it's only the indroductory issue that's 99p!!!!

WigWamBam · 05/01/2006 12:28

Pecka, the normal price is £2.99 a fortnight.

PeachyClair · 05/01/2006 12:58

that's right, £11.? for four copies: no discount as such, but freebies so OK.

WigWamBam · 05/01/2006 13:01

Yeah, £11.96 for the four issues. I'm wondering whether to give it a go for the first four, see how it looks.

UCM · 05/01/2006 16:38

I bought this and I think it's fab, there are going to be a lot of mens suit fronts on the MN gallery this year . I was impressed by the first issue. Issue 2 gives you a binder so you can spend loads of 2.99 on next issues, errm, will buy it next month and see. I must admit I like the idea of trying papier mache boxes.

UCM · 05/01/2006 16:40

I luuuuurve the present ones, am going to be into them very heavily this year.

biglips · 06/01/2006 13:20

i have it too and its had given me a few ideas too !
