Dog dry bag

Having walked my dogs in a downpour and driven home with the car filled with wet dog smell and fogged up windows; can any one direct me towards a pattern for a dog towel bag? I can put them in one each and hope they are dry and mud-free by the time I get home. Ready made are really expensive. I would prefer to use velcro to zips. Thank you in advance.

Hi, I wonder whether you found a pattern for a doggy dry bag, as I'd like to make one too. Thanks

good idea but I cannot image my boxer/mastiff cross staying in a 'bag' for any amount of time Grin

Postman quite often knocks and says 'do you know your boots up on your car?'
when we've been out and got wet and muddy.

I have no pattern, but I have made them, is ridiculously easy.

Measure dog from shoulder to floor, then from chest to arse.

Add 30cm in each direction for a medium sized dog, probably a little less/more for a very small/large dog.

Cut out two pieces of rectangular towelling in these measurements.

Lay them down and cut off a corner where the dogs head will go.

Sew together on three sides.

Attach strong (wider and stronger than you think you will need) velcro to the other side.

And Bob's your mums brother.

Alternatively, seeing as good towelling is not that cheap, buy one from here I have this very one, it is 15 years old and still look brand new.

Just realised I typed all that out for a very old thread. Bollocks. HmmGrin

No...someone bumped it yesterday as they wanted to know how to make one.

All is not wasted!

Gobbler- I'm confused, I thought Bob was your uncle and Fanny was your aunt and your brother was in the Navy? or is that oop north?

GobblersKnob · 26/05/2012 20:39

teanosugar your mum's brother is your uncle, you numpty Grin Is just a daft way of saying it.
