Could you recommend any nice, unusual first holy communion gift ideas - especially for boys, as well as girls.

It very much depends what you want, for a girl a small gold cross on a chin is always good, and most local jewellry stores have them. Boys are a little more difficult, I have purchased small crosses for thier rooms, or a rosary. another good unisex gift is a missal and you can get them made with the child name on it. If you what more unusual gifts, then I would try the USA sites they seem to have a greater variety of goods. Ireland websites also have all of the items above.
