making lanterns from balloons ans tissue paper

made one last year (using wall ppaper paste) but it took ages to dry and then It collapsed when removing the ballon. I patched it up with gloopy glue (pvc glue?).
can I use pvc glue from the start or would it stick to the balloon too much?

yes, water the PVA Wink glue down 1/2 and 1/2 and use sparingly.

also, if the shape is collapsing, you need to add a few more layers before popping the balloon.

have fun!

Can't you just use water?

Condoms are stronger than balloons and you can blow them up to a great size.

If you dip string into pva then wrap it round the balloon then dilute pva as tooearly said for the tissue paper and leave it to dry for ages before popping.

thank you. will do a structure layer from normal paper and thin tissue in between so that the batterie tealight can shine through.
