Sadly, the "Pin It" thingy doesn't work on an iPad so I would have to get up off my lazy arse and turf a child of the PC to pin anything I actually might want to.

CaptainNancy · 26/10/2011 14:21

Oh- I love pinterest.
Could someone tell me how to invite people to it though? [dim]

MartyrStewart- your name is pure genius! Grin

BerryLellow · 26/10/2011 14:22

No you can still repin things from other people to your boards

CaptainNancy · 26/10/2011 14:23

soupy- sometimes I find it won't pin, then it will do them double Confused

Not on an ipad though... macbook. There's often server connexion issues I think...

slapmeonthepatio · 26/10/2011 14:23

click on your name - and there'll be a pop up menu - scroll down one (1st or 2nd option) is invite friends. Click on it then - it takes you to a screeen where you can put in your friends' email address - then send.

BerryLellow · 26/10/2011 14:24

I'm here

Flubba · 26/10/2011 14:27

soup you can 'unfollow' the people you've been forced to suggested to follow.
This is me here if anyone wants a nosey.

martyr I've started following you :)

BerryLellow · 26/10/2011 14:28

This is where we find we've all been pinning the same things :o

spikemomma · 27/10/2011 15:52

Oh yes please berrylellow! I'll pm you my email. Thank you, been meaning to do this for a while!

BerryLellow · 27/10/2011 16:05

Have sent your invite :)

Polgara2 · 28/10/2011 07:03

Oh does it definitely not work on iPad then? How very disappointing [hsad]. I was just coming on to ask how to work it, it looked really good... I may cry now

SoupDragon · 28/10/2011 07:15

The "pin it" button doesn't work as you can't drag it to wherever you're meant to drag it. You can add stuff manually using the URL though.

Polgara2 · 28/10/2011 07:23

Ooh ok thanks soupy but can you explain that in idiotproof instructions more detail please?

SoupDragon · 28/10/2011 07:27

Um... No because I can't remember at what point the option appeared :o

But you have to copy the entire web address from the navigation bar on your browser and paste it into the Pinterest add URL box when you find it!

CaptainNancy · 28/10/2011 10:57

Is there an app perhaps?

slapmeonthepatio · 28/10/2011 11:39

Yes - there is an app.

BigBoobiedBertha · 28/10/2011 13:15

If you are talking about pinning something (note to self -n read the whole thread again not just the last 5 posts), when you are on your page of Pinterest, there is a menu up the top. One of the options is Add which allows you to add a board or a pin. If you click on add a pin you get a box to put a ULR in and the rest is easy.

Hope you don't mind but I have followed some of you who put links on here. This is mine if anybody is interested here.

It is still a bit of a work in progress as I am relavtively new to it myself but I am building up some ideas for my C&G course that I have just started so hopefully it will get better!

I can send invites too if anybody needs one.

TandB · 28/10/2011 21:44
