Painted pine cones.....now what?

Me and my ds's have just painted and put glitter on the pine cones we collected from the park yesterday. I have to admit, they look really pretty, but what can I do with them now?

Does anyone have any easy ideas - I was thinking we could make something with them as presents for Aunties etc?

I did this last year

sprayed loads silver and gold

ended up arranging them on the mantlepiece so that dh could snort at them

we went to a dinner party last week where she had stuck name cards into them and put one on each plate

thread sparkly string round them and hang on the tree.

thread florist's wire round them and stick into a plant pot full of oasis along with some greenery from the garden and holly for a table centrepiece.

Good idea with the name places - if I was having a party would be a great idea, but sadly not.

Table centrepiece sounds good - I'm not very creative though so they will have the tendancy to look rubbish. I guess its the thought that counts - will be from the boys!
