fancy dress - space

Not sure where to put this message but I'm hoping any crafty people may help.
Ds5 has to dress as something in space for school next Friday.
Can someone give me any ideas on something simple but effective.

Superman outfit. He came from space right? :o

...or not. Can you dress him in a foil-covered costume and get him a torch (great if you have a headtorch) so he can be a star?

I suggested a star as have one from a nativity play last year, however I was met with a blank look.

How about a astronaut? lemonade bottles for his fuel pack, cardboard box space helmet...

Martian? Green clothes, face paint a third eye on his forehead, some green tights or socks to make an extra pair of arms underneath his real ones...
